March 30 & April 1 was the General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was so wonderful to hear the words of the prophet as he spoke to us. Here is the link to the website in case you missed it or want to hear it again.
I missed the last few talks of the last session, but here is my synopsis of the talks:
Sat Morning -
Pres. Monson - greeting, gather to uplift each other
Pres. Packer - Hope
Sister Esplin - teach children to understand the doctrine (answer why)
Pres. Hallstrom - be active in the gospel not just the church
Elder Koelliker - missionaries
Elder Oaks - sacrifice
Pres. Eyring - blessings come from adversity so stay strong
Sat Afternoon
Elder Holland - be happy for others, and forgive others
Elder Hales - be worthy, seek forgiveness
Elder Baxter - can be helped through prayer (for single parents ... but good for all)
Elder Soares - desire to do wrong disappears when you have the Spirit
Elder Cook - be in harmony with the promptings of the Spirit
Elder Scott - receive revelation through ask, fast, pray, scriptures, ponder
Sun Morning
Pres Uchtdorf - avoid resentment, revenge, envy - just STOP IT. FORGIVE others and self
Elder Nelson - be grateful for everything
Pres. Rasband - tests and trials prepare us for exaltation. Just jump in and help. asking doesn't do much good
Sister Beck - RS is God-made. *my prompting - begin working on family history again*
Elder Christofferson - revelation sometimes leads to doctrinal change (many examples in bible)
Pres Monson - center the gospel in our lives. Cleaning etc not as important as family. Endure to the end... death is not the end
Sun Afternoon -
Elder Perry - face towards the temple. Book of Mormon is in harmony with the bible
Elder Ballard - Happiness is directly related to gospel principles and family covenants
